Yardman/Driver - Permanent Full-time position

At McLellan Freight, we are a proud local family-owned freight company with 37 years of experience transporting goods throughout New Zealand. With a strong reputation built on reliability, safety & pride we're looking for a skilled person to join our team. 

Job Summary:
Daily duties will be split between the yard and delivering locally. 

Ability to:
Communicate effectively with: 

• Management
• Drivers
• Team members
• Customers

Co-ordinate & assist:

• Inward & Outward freight
• Vehicle unloading & loading
• Local deliveries 
• Team members

 Job Requirements:  

• NZ Drivers Licence – Minimum Class 2
• Class 4 an advantage or the opportunity to achieve Class 4
• DG, F & Osh F endorsements are a bonus, but training will be provided
• Confident reading & writing skills
• Positive approach to Health & Safety
• NZ Residency

Personal Qualities:

• Positive can-do attitude with a proactive work ethic
• Trustworthy & reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work effectively with in a team but also independently
• Well presented
