Health & Safety Administrator
Due to expanding operations, Mike Hurring Logging are looking to fill the following role based out of our Balclutha office.
Health & Safety Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
− Monitor and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
− Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
− Assist in the development and implementation of safety training programs.
− Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and incidents.
− Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory bodies regarding health and safety maters.
− Ensure the correct reporting of accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
− Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and best practices.
Key Requirements:
− Knowledge of health and safety administration (preferably in a logging, contracting, or similar industry).
− Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
− Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
− Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
− Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
− Valid driver’s license.
- Have New Zealand residency
Desirable Skills:
− Certificate or qualifications in Health & Safety Management.
− Experience with health and safety software or reporting tools.
− Literate in computer use including Excel, Word, etc.
