Branch/Projects Manager

WAE Engineering Limited is a respected privately owned business which works across a number of engineering and mechanical fields.  We are currently seeking a Branch/Projects Manager to work within our team based in our Balclutha branch.

Responsibilities:

  •  Planning the day ahead prior to start times including scheduling and issuing work instructions in conjunction with the workshop supervisor.

  • Manage the day to day running of the branch, attend daily toolbox meetings, health and safety etc.

  • Understand the client’s requirements, including scoping and estimating projects and preparing quotes/estimates.

  • Liaise with clients, site managers, contractors and sub-contractors to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements including deadlines and schedules.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

  • Monitor project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Project Manager preferably with engineering knowledge and experience.

  • Understanding plans and drawings.

  • Strong organisational skills including attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Leadership and budget management experience.

  • Excellent client facing and internal communication skills.

  • Ability to understand contracts and agreements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including excel.

  • Clear and concise verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Minimum 5 years experience.

  • Sound knowledge of, and ability to adhere to, health and safety regulations and policies.

Other Requirements:

  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

  • Unrestricted drivers licence.
