Skilled Excavator Operator

Are you an experienced and skilled Excavator Operator looking for your next challenge?

Rutter Civil Ltd is a growing civil construction company specialising in earthworks, land development, and three waters infrastructure projects throughout Otago and Southland. Due to continued growth and a strong workload, we are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to help operate our modern fleet of GPS machinery and help deliver high-quality projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role operating modern excavators across a variety of civil construction projects. You will work alongside an experienced team and be involved in excavation, drainage, rural and infrastructure installation projects.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Current W, T, and R endorsements
• A minimum of 5 years' experience operating heavy machinery
• Class 4 license preferred but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret plans and construction drawings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• The ability to lead, coordinate, and support team members on site
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
