About Pact

At Pact, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected life.

We support people with intellectual disabilities, mental health & addiction challenges and, young people, to reach their goals and build independence.  Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for Full-time community support workers who are ready to make a genuine impact. In this role, you'll support people as they explore their community, discover new interests, strengthen life skills, and work toward personal goals. Make a real difference in someone’s life every day — no two days are the same. Join a supportive team, earn while you learn, and build a meaningful career in disability support.

In this role, you will:

  • Support people in the community as they set and achieve personal goals
  • Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
  • Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
  • Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
  • Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
  • And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!

This role requires flexibility to work a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.

 Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

Our Balclutha team is looking for someone with:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, positive approach, even when things get challenging
  • A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
  • A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 Health & Wellbeing) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
  • The right to work in New Zealand (essential)

What will Pact offer you?

At Pact, you’ll join a supportive, down-to-earth team who care deeply about both our staff and the people we support.

We offer:

  • As part of our commitment to your professional development, you’ll be supported to enrol in a recognised qualification after six months with us
  • $26.80 - $31.47 per, hour based on qualification
  • Long Service benefits to celebrate your milestones
  • Encouragement and support to achieve the NZQA Level 3 Qualification
  • Free, confidential Employee Assistance Programme
  • The joy of watching people grow, achieve and thrive

Ready to build a meaningful career where every day counts? Visit our website: About Us - Pact Group to learn more about the incredible work we do, or submit your CV today and help empower people in our community to live life to the fullest.
