Sandy’s Kaka Point is seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team for the upcoming summer season, from approximately December through to February.

This is an ideal opportunity for a university student or someone looking for seasonal hospitality work. The successful applicant will work alongside our kitchen team and assist with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities include:

• Washing, drying and putting away dishes
• Plating and preparing desserts
• Basic food preparation
• Assisting the kitchen team during service
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen

About you:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous hospitality or kitchen experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided

Availability required:

• Weekend work is required
• Evening and night shifts
• Availability throughout the Christmas and New Year period is essential
