Livestock Dispatcher

Based at our Clydevale Depot, you will plan and dispatch daily truck movements. Co-ordinate with suppliers, agents, and farmers to ensure our operation runs smoothly and safely, providing an efficient service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule jobs in a timely manner, planning routes and dispatching trucks for maximum efficiency, making effective use of available resources.
• Provide clear instructions and support to Drivers.
• Maintain timely communication with customers.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company policies, and health & safety requirements.
• Liaise with Fleet Manager to manage truck compliance and fleet maintenance requirements.
• Build positive relationships with clients and industry stakeholders to enhance & grow business.

About you

• Previous experience in rural transport, logistics, dispatch role (preferred)
• Class 5 NZ Drivers License, happy to step in and fill a gap driving when required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Problem solving abilities and a calm approach under pressure.
• Good computer skills and experience with transport management systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of New Zealand transport operations and regulations.
